Fire department equipped to offer mutual aid
Whispering Pines VFD
An AFG grant provided funds to purchase 18 sets of turnout gear and other safety equipment. Soon after, firefighters responded to a mutual aid call involving two structure fires. The new equipment enabled the crews to stay at the scene until the fires were contained.
